...an awkward person. I say things that are only funny to about 1/4 of the population and I guess I can be described as somewhat of a neurotic. It is so lonely sometimes in a world that focuses on being "normal." Thank God for the folks who understand me. I get so many people saying I am random and weird. Thank God again for that. No cookie-cutter black girl here.

I see I have gained a few followers in the past few weeks! Thanks for thinking that my little musings are worth checking out every once in a while. :-) I started this blog as a casual virtual diary of sorts and I am happy for the outlet as well as the new friends that I have gained during this experience. Folks, I will let you in on a little secret. I was one of those young girls who was picked on for all SORTS of reasons. I had braces, liked anime (yes, anime) and had to wear a head gear. I was always called strange, weird, odd, you name it.

As I grew into a woman, I ditched the braces and became a swan, but I still very much feel like a complete dork most of the time. But, I have learned to embrace my strange-ness and feel sexy in my odd-ness. An odd-ness goddess if you will.

Because I am one of those folks who was/is wrong in all the right ways, I give you, my new theme song for the rest of the year. Eternal thanks to Pink. Without further ado:

Welcome to my blog y'all!

Hey everyone! I have succumbed to the bloggery and I will be sharing with you snippets of my various weekend adventures in the San Francisco Bay Area. I will also be listing events and documenting (randomly) my hair care practices as I love to make homemade products. As a matter of fact, today my sister and I are going to the (drum roll, please):

The event is being held by Pacific Coast Brewing Company from 12 pm to 7 pm and is located at 906 Washington Ave. Oakland, Ca. 94607

After we enjoy some local brewery goodness and plenty of people watching, we are headed to the city to check out some Giants viewing parties.
